Attentive readers, and of course users of Garmin wearables and Garmin Connect, will likely be familiar with Health Status. This feature, now available for various wearables beyond just the Venu 4, provides an overview of important health metrics. The need for such a feature stems in part from the sheer volume of data collected. Health Status collects data on resting heart rate, heart rate variability, respiratory rate, oxygen saturation and skin temperature and displays how these five values compare to the user's baseline, potentially allowing for the early detection of an emerging illness.
Health Status currently has one limitation: these values are only visible for one day at a time. But Gadgets & Wearables has just discovered unimplemented parameters in the recently released version 5.20 of Garmin Connect which suggest that this may change. Namely, there is code that for a function that accepts both a start date and an end date, paving the way for the possible display of extended summaries, health trends or historical overviews.
Then there is also the "healthStatusFormatter" parameter, which suggests that the data will be shown in one form or another. A diagram is conceivable here, as it would allow multiple metrics to be displayed in a bundled form.
