Garmin is rolling out a new update for some Fenix 8 AMOLED, Fenix 8 Solar, Fenix E, Enduro 3, Tactix 8 Solar and Tactix 8 AMOLED smartwatches. Beta version 21.15 arrives a few weeks after the last update, beta version 21.12, which brought many new features like Battery Manager, Course Planner and the Lifestyle Logging glance.
In a recent post about beta version 21.15 in the Garmin forum, a representative for the company made it clear that this release was for non-Pro models only. The change log indicates that it brings a new ability to switch off navigation guidance until you approach the next direction. Plus, the release includes many bug fixes.
With beta version 21.15, Garmin has tackled an issue with the Snowboard activity, where users could not view runs, as well as possible crashes that occurred when scrolling the Nutrition widget. The company has also resolved problems linked to volume slider vibrations, third-party maps and Storm Alert notifications. Plus, for Solar smartwatches, a bug which caused the dive timer seconds to be cut off on the display has been fixed.
Beta version 21.15 is rolling out over the air to users of the Fenix 8 (47 mm AMOLED Carbon Gray DLC Titanium curr. $1,099.99 at Amazon) and related smartwatches. At the time of writing, Garmin estimates that the release has reached around 20% of eligible users.
