Garmin has launched a new update for several of its older high-end smartwatches. Arriving in the wake of new smartwatch releases, the update is said to resolve a frustrating Wi-Fi connectivity issue that has plagued recent builds.

Garmin has returned to its Beta Program with a new build for the Fenix 7 and Fenix 7 Pro (curr. $569.99 on Amazon). For context, the company issued Beta Version 25.08 a few days ago. Sandwiched between new Venu X1 and Quatix 8 Pro releases, Beta Version 25.08 was said to resolve three overarching bugs that were present in earlier beta and stable builds.

Now, Garmin has moved ahead with Beta Version 25.10 for the Epix 2, Enduro 2, Quatix 7 and Marq Gen 2 too. Please note that Garmin does not offer beta updates to either the Marq Aviator Gen 2 or the Tactix 7. Also, the company stresses that only 25% of eligible smartwatches have received an automatic notification to download the new update.

Thus, it may take a few more days before Beta Version 25.10 reaches your Fenix 7, Fenix 7 Pro or associated smartwatch, even if it is already linked with Garmin's Beta Program. Incidentally, more beta builds are set to follow before v25.xx development transitions to Garmin's stable software branch. In a forum post, Garmin clarifies that Beta Version 25.10 resolves an issue that prevented a smartwatch from reconnecting to a password-protected Wi-Fi network, which community members had flagged since around Beta Version 25.03.
