The Garmin Venu X1, Venu 4 and vivoactive 6 smartwatches are receiving a new update. Software version 15.52 is the first stable release for these wearables in 2026, arriving around a month after the stable 15.33 release. This earlier update brought a Bluetooth music big fix to these users.
In a series of recent posts on the Garmin forum, a representative for the brand announced the rollout of software version 15.52 for the Venu X1, Venu 4 and vivoactive 6 smartwatches. Here, the release notes state that the company has made “changes to support manufacturing”. It is unclear precisely what these tweaks are, but it appears that they will not impact the user experience.
The second line in the change log points to other minor improvements and bug fixes, without going into the specifics. Unfortunately, software version 15.52 does not appear to resolve ongoing issues with the vivoactive 6 smartwatch, where the display is reportedly not working as expected. Similarly, a problem experienced by users who connect the Venu 4 smartwatch to the Schwinn IC4 spin bike seems to persist after this update.
Garmin software version 15.52 is now available for 20% of users of the Venu X1, Venu 4 (curr. from $527.99 at Amazon) and vivoactive 6 smartwatches. It should have been automatically pushed to these users, though it can also be manually downloaded when you go to the Menu > Settings > System > Software Update.
