Garmin has released a new update for many of its older high-end smartwatches. Rolling out globally now, the new update introduces 20 changes and improvements that should improve compatible smartwatches in numerous areas.

Garmin has now finalised its recent round of beta development for the Fenix 7 and Fenix 7 Pro (curr. $489.99 on Amazon). To recap, the company issued Beta Version 25.11 earlier this week to all Beta Program participants with Fenix 7 series smartwatches and all their Enduro, Epix, Quatix, Marq and D2 Mach derivations. The fourth v25.xx beta, Beta Version 25.11 enabled ECG functionality while keeping Garmin's Dive software disabled.

Nonetheless, Garmin has transitioned v25.11 to its stable software program. Arriving as System Software 25.11, the update is already said to have been offered to around 20% of eligble smartwatches. Typically, Garmin offers updates in batches. Thus, it could take a few days before System Software 25.11 reaches your Enduro 2, Epix 2, Fenix 7, Quatix 7, Marq 2 or D2 Mach 1 smartwatch.

Alternatively, one can request the new update manually by navigating through the main menu to Settings, System and Software before selecting 'Check for Updates'. As usual, Garmin does not provide a changelog on the smartwatch directly or within its Connect app. Instead, the company lists a 20-line changelog across several forum posts. Please see the changelog below for more details.
