A new update has arrived for the Amazfit T-Rex 3 smartwatch. The version 4.3.8.4 update arrives a couple of weeks after software version 4.3.8.2 first appeared. However, it appears that the rollout of this earlier release was paused.
Compared to version 4.3.8.2, there is only one change included with version 4.3.8.4. This is a bug fix, tackling an issue with the daily activity calorie calculation. For users who did not receive the 4.3.8.2 release, there is a much wider range of new features with this release.
The change log, shared on the Amazfit T-Rex 3/3 Pro Facebook Group, states that there are two new metrics for Outdoor Running and Trail Running activities: Equivalent Pace and Average Equivalent Pace. Other workout-specific additions are support for speed sensors, cadence sensors, and power meters for Indoor Cycling, and support for Stryd sensors for HYROX Race.
Users of the Amazfit T-Rex 3 smartwatch can now record voice memos during workouts, and the Terrain Map and workout track page have each been improved. You can find the complete change log for software version 4.3.8.4 below. It is unclear when the rollout of this new update will be complete. When it is available to you, you will be able to install this Amazfit T-Rex 3 (curr. $249.99 at Amazon) update through the Zepp app.
