Some Amazfit smartwatch users are receiving a refreshed version of the Zepp smartphone app. Alongside the tweaked design, there is a new feature designed to motivate you to reach new fitness goals. However, it is unclear when this functionality will be available for all users of Amazfit wearables.

A new version of the Zepp app for Amazfit smartwatches has arrived for iOS users. Version 10.0 recently became available to download from the Apple App Store, with the change log stating that the company had “fixed some bugs”.

However, users on Reddit have confirmed that the Zepp app version 10.0 brings a refreshed look and a new feature. While the layout of the Zepp app’s Home page remains broadly the same, there are new sections for activities, training plans and insights, replacing the older 'Core Metrics' section. Plus, the color scheme has been updated to use a wider range of colors.

There is also a new tab shown at the bottom of the app; ‘Home’, ‘Workout’, ‘Aura’ and ‘Device’ have been joined by ‘Badges’ sitting in the middle of the row. This is linked to a new Badges section of the app, designed to help Amazfit smartwatch users stay motivated to achieve their goals. On this page, you can view Badges earned linked to your Personal Bests, Achievements, Challenges and Masteries. Users can also browse a list of ‘Remaining’ Badges which they have yet to unlock.

You can now download Zepp app version 10.0 from the Apple App Store. The new Badges feature should be available for iOS users of all Amazfit smartwatches, including the Balance 2 (curr. $299.99 at Amazon). It is unclear when an equivalent update will become available for Android users.
