New Amazfit smartwatch appears amidst T-Rex Ultra 2 rumors

An unreleased Amazfit smartwatch has appeared in a certification database in Malaysia. The latest release from the wearable brand was the Active Max smartwatch (curr. $169.99 at Amazon), which launched in late December 2025.
Now, an entry in the database of the Standard and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia (SIRIM) suggests that another Amazfit smartwatch is approaching launch. Referred to as model A2550 (Smart Watch), it has been registered by Comsat Mobile Communications Sdn Bhd; this company owns the Amazfit brand. Aside from noting that the device gained the relevant certification on January 26th, there are no further details about the product.
It could be that model A2550 is the leaked Amazfit T-Rex Ultra 2, a follow-up to the original T-Rex Ultra. The most recent rumors about this smartwatch suggest that it might have a MicroLED display, which would be brighter than the AMOLED screens used on the brand’s existing wearables. It may also be suitable for diving and offer Amazfit’s latest health tracking technology.
It has been suggested that the Amazfit T-Rex Ultra 2 smartwatch might be released at MWC 2025 in Barcelona, an event which will take place in early March. This timeline appears to align with this recent SIRIM certification. However, it could also be that this is another addition to Amazfit’s smartwatch line-up, building on the T-Rex 3 or Active series instead.
