The Amazfit T-Rex Ultra 2 smartwatch appears to have been confirmed in a recent leak. This is expected to be a premium wearable from the brand, joining the existing T-Rex 3 Pro (curr. $379.99 at Amazon). In the last month, Zepp Health has already unveiled three new wearables: the Helio Glasses, the Helio Core and the Active Max smartwatch.
Now, it appears that the T-Rex Ultra 2 smartwatch c-ould be released in the near future. According to a recent report from Gadgets & Wearables, the name “Amazfit T-Rex Ultra 2” appears multiple times in the code behind a recent update for the Zepp app. The version 9.16.2 release arrived for iOS and Android on January 6th, with the change log stating that the company had “fixed some bugs”.
Unfortunately, the code does not reveal any of the specifications of the T-Rex Ultra 2. The original T-Rex Ultra, released in 2023, is a 47 mm smartwatch with a 1,000 nits peak brightness AMOLED display. It offers features like dual-band GPS with contour maps and turn-by-turn navigation, and a range of health and fitness related tools. You can use it to track your exercise with over 160 sports modes, and there is support for free diving up to 30 m. Plus, it has an up to 20-day battery life and can operate in ultra-low temperatures down to -30°C (-22°F)
It remains to be seen when Zepp Health will officially announce the Amazfit T-Rex Ultra 2 smartwatch, and how much it could cost. As a guide, the older T-Rex Ultra launched with an RRP of $399.00.
