The Huawei Watch Ultimate 2 smartwatch is receiving another update. Launched in October 2025 as a successor to the original Watch Ultimate, this wearable was last updated in December 2025 to HarmonyOS 6.0.0.156.
Now, Huawei is rolling out HarmonyOS software version 6.0.0.209 to the Watch Ultimate 2 smartwatch, starting in China. The change log, shared on Weibo, states that there is a new coronary heart disease risk research project in this country. Users who join the trial will be given a risk assessment based on data collected by the watch over the course of three to four days. Exactly how these results are calculated is unclear; users are advised to seek professional medical advice should the wearable flag any possible issues.
HarmonyOS 6.0.0.209 also brings a new wheelchair activity tracking mode to the watch, allowing users to customize their experience under Activity Tracking > Triple Ring Settings. For outdoor cyclists, there is a new real-time simulated cadence metric, with 3D distance compensation prompts and the ability to select your bike type. The Skiing mode experience is said to have been enhanced, with measurements like maximum and average speeds, slope gradient and cumulative descent. Plus, users with an Android smartphone can now remotely control the device’s camera from the watch.
It is unclear when a version of the HarmonyOS 6.0.0.209 release will reach users of the Huawei Watch Ultimate 2 smartwatch (curr. €872.03 at Amazon DE) outside China.
