A new beta update has arrived for a range of Garmin's older premium smartwatches. This appears to be the last release in the 25.xx testing cycle, suggesting that all users of the Fenix 7 and related smartwatches could receive a version of this update in the near future.

Garmin has released a new beta update for the Fenix 7, Fenix 7x, Fenix 7S, Epix, Enduro 2, Quatix 7 and MARQ Gen 2 smartwatches. This appears to be the final beta released in the 25.xx testing cycle, which began in December 2025.

The change log for beta version 25.11 states that Garmin has enabled the ECG feature for eligible smartwatches. Typically, ECG is disabled during beta testing, suggesting a stable version 25.11 is on the horizon. However, the Dive feature remains disabled for the time being.

As a reminder, the final 25.11 update is expected to bring a new feature for the Golf activity, with users able to disable or enable the auto-lap feature. There should also be a refreshed look for the progress bar on the Audiobooks list. Plus, it could include a wide range of bug fixes, tackling issues linked to skin temperature data, the Sleep Mode setup menu and the Morning Report's scheduled page. The complete list of changes made during the 25.xx testing cycle can be found in the list below.

Beta version 25.11 has been pushed over-the-air (OTA) to all beta testers of the Fenix 7 and related smartwatches. It is worth noting that beta version 25.11 is not currently available for the Garmin Fenix 7 Pro smartwatch (47mm Pro Sapphire Solar Carbon Gray curr. $604.16 at Amazon); in a recent forum post, a representative for the company suggests that a version of the software for this wearable will be released at a later date. Plus, this release is also unavailable for the Tactix 7 and MARQ Aviater Gen 2 smartwatches, as these are not included in the beta program.
