Lenovo is likely better known for its various devices such as desktop PCs, laptops and even monitors, but the company also offers wearables and has now expanded its lineup with another model called the Lenovo Watch GT Pro. Specifically, this smartwatch is designed for outdoor enthusiasts and athletes, and it doesn’t have a particularly subtle design. Similar to the Garmin Fenix 8 (from $749 on Amazon), screws are clearly visible and the smartwatch also features a relatively thick bezel. Moreover, there are various buttons as well as a rotating crown on the right side.
The body is made of a zinc-magnesium alloy and should be quite durable. Meanwhile, the display is protected by Corning Glass, which should prevent scratches or serious damage. The display of the Lenovo Watch GT Pro measures 1.43 inches and has a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels. A GPS module is onboard and can be used to track the distance covered during workouts, which is usually more accurate than just counting steps. The Lenovo smartwatch is also suitable for activities in the water, as it is waterproof up to 5 ATM.
The wearable also features optical sensors that can record heart rate and oxygen saturation. A full charge of the 470mAh battery is supposed to last between 7 and 27 days. Last but not least, the Watch GT Pro sports a barometer and compass and carries an official price tag of roughly $130 on the Chinese market. Details on a potential global launch are not available yet.
