New Casio G-Shock watch with MIP LCD now available in more countries
The Casio G-Shock GMW-BZ5000GD-9 is now available in more European countries. This is one of three new GMW-BZ5000 watches, which were recently launched in Japan, and are also available in markets like the US and the UK.
At the Casio online store in countries like the Netherlands, Spain and Germany, you can now buy the G-Shock GMW-BZ5000GD-9 watch for €649. At the time of writing, the product page states that there is limited stock availability.
Casio’s G-Shock GMW-BZ5000GD-9 is a gold colored watch with an ion-plated stainless steel casing and strap. This 5000 series model has a new design which is said to enhance shock resistance, while retaining the original G-Shock look. At its centre is a high-contrast MIP LCD with a light background and dark figures. The display can be customized, with Standard and Classic styles, and four layouts to choose from.
The G-Shock GMW-BZ5000 is a radio-controlled (Multiband 6) watch with features like automatic time adjustments available via the Casio Watches app, thanks to Bluetooth connectivity. On-watch tools include a timer, a stopwatch and alarms. It also supports world time, is solar powered, and should be water resistant to 200 m.
It is unclear when the GMW-BZ5000D-1 and the GMW-BZ5000BD-1 will be released in these European countries; they are expected to arrive at some point in December 2025 and will retail for €599 and €649, respectively.
