The Casio G-Shock origami-inspired watches, the DW-5600RGM-1 and the DW-6900RGM-5, have been confirmed for release in some European countries in the near future. These two products were rumored in October 2025 and have since been released in Japan.
Now, the Casio G-Shock DW-5600RGM-1 and DW-6900RGM-5 watches have been listed at the brand’s online stores in countries like the Netherlands, Spain and Germany. Unfortunately, these pages do not reveal the price of these products. Both models retail for ¥19,800 in Japan, so they might retail for around €110 in the EU. Plus, on the G-Shock Spain Instagram page, the company confirmed that these watches would be released at some point in December 2025, though an exact date has not been given.
Casio’s origami-themed watches celebrate the traditional Japanese paper craft. Each model features dot patterns along various edges, symbolising valley and mountain folds. Plus, the resin bezel and band are said to have a “washi-inspired texture”. The digital DW-5600RGM-1 has a black casing with white details, and a light background display, while the hybrid DW-6900RGM-5 has a white exterior with black patterns, and a similar positive screen.
The G-Shock DW-5600 and DW-6900 models each feature a stopwatch, a timer and a multifunctional alarm. An LED backlight illuminates the watches at the click of a button, and they are water resistant to 20 bar. Plus, they should run for around five years on a CR2016 battery. Whether or when the Casio G-Shock DW-5600RGM-1 and DW-6900RGM-5 origami-inspired watches could be released in other markets like the US or the UK remains to be seen.
