Casio’s upcoming Edifice ECB-2300HR-1A - the special Honda collaboration model built around the story of Honda’s first Formula 1 victory - has reportedly received a revised launch window. A new update from @geesgshock's Instagram page states that the watch, which was previously expected to arrive between November and December 2025, is now slated for March 2026.
This news comes nearly two months after the model first surfaced in October, when early listings and press material revealed its details. The watch celebrates 60 years since Honda’s breakthrough F1 win at the 1965 Mexican Grand Prix with the RA272 - that's the car that marked the first time a Japanese team and engine won at that level. The ECB-2300HR-1A reflects that motorsport heritage strongly, and almost all of its design shows details pulled directly from the RA272 and Honda’s racing history.
The ceramic bezel uses the same "Championship White" that was used on Honda’s victory cars. A gold-accented "60" sits at the top of the scale, and the tachometer-style subdial at the 9 o’clock position is designed to look like the analog gauges used in the era. The red ring circling the dial is a reference to the RA272’s nose, while the strap lining features detailed printed sketches of the car’s 1.5L V12 engine, along with the exact date and time of the 1965 win. Even the buckle carries a reference to the original race machine, engraved with "11," the RA272’s number.
As a refresher, the watch's technical specs include Tough Solar charging, Bluetooth connectivity, world time, multi-function stopwatch, countdown timer, perpetual calendar, multiple alarms, Super Illuminator LEDs and a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. The caseback carries commemorative markings in a red-white theme, and the watch uses carbon-and-steel suspension-style lugs.
The original pricing - around USD $530 in Asian markets - has not been revised (yet), and production is still expected to be limited. However, with the release window now pushed to early 2026, those who were preparing for a year-end launch will have a longer wait, but the update at least provides clarity on when this anniversary edition will actually reach stores.
