Casio has confirmed that its two new origami-inspired G-Shock watches will be released in the UK soon. The two models, the DW-5600RGM-1 and the DW-6900RGM-5, launched in Japan in November 2025. They have also been listed at the brand's online store in other European countries like Germany, where they are expected to retail for €149.
At Casio's online store in the UK, both the G-Shock DW-5600RGM-1 and DW-6900RGM-5 watches are listed with a £129 RRP. While they can be found on the site's 'Coming soon' page, their release date has yet to be announced. However, prospective customers can use the "Available soon - sign up now" button on the product page to register to receive an email when they launch in this market.
These new Casio watches have an origami themed design, with a series of dotted lines to represent mountain and valley folds. The DW-6900RGM-5 has a white resin casing with black accent lines, while the DW-5600RGM-1 has the reverse color scheme. Plus, Casio suggests that both have a texture mimicking the washi paper that is typically used for this Japanese craft. Other nods include a paper crane engraved on the metal case back, and seen again when the LED backlight is illuminated.
The G-Shock DW-5600 and DW-6900 models share many features, like a countdown timer, a multi-function alarm and a 1/100th second stopwatch. They are both shock resistant and water resistant to 200 m. However, the DW-5600 is a digital watch with a rectangular display, while the DW-6900 is a round Triple Graph model, featuring a slimmer display below the three indicators. It remains to be seen if Casio will release the G-Shock DW-5600RGM-1 and DW-6900RGM-5 watches in the US.
