IKEA has released another new smart home sensor at its online store in the US. Already available in Europe, the Timmerflotte is designed to take temperature and humidity measurements. It can be connected to the brand’s Dirigera hub, and support for the Matter protocol means it can integrate with third-party systems.

The IKEA Timmerflotte Temperature/humidity sensor, smart, is now available in the US. Several other new smart sensors from the brand, including the Alpstuga Air quality monitor, were recently released in this market.

You can now buy the IKEA Timmerflotte Temperature/humidity sensor, smart at ikea.com for $9.99. Based on the in-store stock checker tool on the website, it appears that this product is not yet available in the brand’s physical stores in this country. The Timmerflotte is already available online and in stores in various countries across Europe.

The Timmerflotte is a round device that can be mounted on a wall or placed on a surface in the room of your choice. As suggested by the product's name, its integrated sensor can take temperature and humidity measurements, which are displayed on the gadget’s digital display. According to the product listing, users can cycle between the two by clicking a button.

IKEA’s Timmerflotte is designed to be connected to the IKEA Dirigera hub. This allows it to be linked to many other smart home products from the brand and managed through the IKEA Home Smart app. Plus, it is a Matter compatible product, meaning it will work with third-party ecosystems like Home Assistant, Apple Home and Google Home. It is a relatively compact device, measuring 2.75 x 1.0 x 2.75 inches (~7.0 x 2.5 x 7.0 cm).

Other recent smart home releases from IKEA in the US include the Bilresa smart dual-button remote. Customers in this country are still waiting for the new IKEA Kajplats smart bulbs to arrive.
