The IKEA Timmerflotte Temperature/humidity sensor, smart, is now available at the company’s online store in the UK. This is one of a range of new smart home sensors from the Swedish brand, which are already available in other European countries.
IKEA’s Timmerflotte is a round device with a digital display on its front. Users can cycle between measurements of the current temperature and humidity level in the room by pressing a button. It is designed to be connected to the IKEA Dirigera hub, enabling remote management and smart device linkage through the IKEA Home smart app.
As with all of IKEA’s recently released smart home devices, the Timmerflotte supports Matter. This means that it also works with third-party ecosystems like Apple Home, Google Home and Home Assistant. For example, it could be used to trigger a smart thermostat or dehumidifier based on the conditions. This sensor has a white plastic casing, measuring 7 x 7 x 3 cm (~2.8 x 2.8 x 1.2 inches).
You can now buy the IKEA Timmerflotte Temperature/humidity sensor, smart, at ikea.com for £5.00. It is also listed as in stock at some physical stores like Croydon, Edinburgh and Manchester. The other new IKEA smart sensors are expected to be released in the coming weeks.
