New Govee Ceiling Light Ultra with Matter on the way

The Govee Ceiling Light Ultra is on the way. This new smart light appears to follow on from the brand’s Ceiling Light Pro, released earlier in 2025. It has been spotted on a Govee website, as well as in the database of the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA), the body responsible for smart home protocols like Matter and Zigbee.

Govee’s Ceiling Light Ultra, also referred to as model H1270, is designed for indoor use. According to the page at the CSA, it will offer colored lighting effects, which can be remotely controlled via the Govee Home app thanks to Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. The listing also confirms that this is a Matter 1.3 certified device, meaning it will integrate with many third-party smart home ecosystems, like Home Assistant and Apple Home.

A small image of the Govee Ceiling Light Ultra (below), found in a Govee user manual, appears to show a design similar to the Ceiling Light Pro, with a thicker silver-tone frame. Plus, it suggests that the product will have two light sources, one shining light into the room, and another ceiling-facing light producing a gentler glow. Further details, including the dimensions of the round light, have yet to be confirmed. It is unclear precisely how this model will differ from its predecessor.

It is unclear when Govee will launch the new Ceiling Light Ultra; it could be revealed at CES 2026 in January. Its price also remains a mystery. As an indication, the Govee Ceiling Light Pro retails for $129.99 (curr. $89.99 at Amazon US).
