The Govee Floor Lamp 3 Lite has appeared in the database of the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA) as a Matter certified device. This organisation is responsible for the management of smart home standards like Zigbee and Matter. The certification of this Govee smart light suggests that it could be released in the near future.
The page linked to the Govee Floor Lamp 3 Lite on the CSA’s website states that it is designed for indoor use, creating ambient lighting effects on the walls. It will offer both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing it to be remotely controlled via the Govee Home app. Plus, support for Matter 1.3 means it will be able to integrate with many other smart home ecosystems.
From this limited information, it is unclear how the Govee Floor Lamp 3 Lite will differ from the older Floor Lamp Lite, also known as the Floor Lamp Basic (curr. $74.99 at Amazon). This model offers up to 1,000 lumens brightness and 85 preset white and colored lighting effects. Some of these can sync to music, and users can create custom scenes in DIY mode, or with the help of the brand’s AI assistant. The smart lamp is 136 cm (~54 inches) tall, and the base is 20 cm (7.8 inches) wide.
It remains to be seen when the Govee Floor Lamp 3 Lite will be released. It could be unveiled at CES 2026, which starts on January 6th. How much this product will cost is also unclear at the time of writing, though the “Lite” element of its name suggests that it may be cheaper than the upcoming Floor Lamp 3.
