Govee debuts the brighter Floor Lamp 3 and cozy Lantern Floor Lamp smart lights
The smart light giant Govee has introduced two more creations to brighten a variety of spaces. The Floor Lamp 3 improves on its predecessor with a higher lumen output and a wider field of illumination. Meanwhile, the Lantern Floor Lamp takes aim at corners, casting layered halo gradient effects.
The Govee Floor Lamp 3 is available now for $169.99 at Amazon and the manufacturer’s store. Buyers will also find a streamlined Lite version for $129.99. Finally, the Lantern alternative has launched at an identical $129.99 price point.
A multi-faceted lamp
First shown as CES 2026, Govee has brought its LuminBlend+ technology to the Floor Lamp 2 sequel. Its color palette has been expanded, showcasing hues that are distinguishable even when muted. A denser array of 144 RGB and 144 white LEDs promises fewer dead zones. Overall brightness now stands at a more potent 2,100 lumens, which the company says covers a 645-square-foot (58 m²) area.
The revamped dual-sided construction produces a greater 170-degree beam angle. That allows the customizable RGBWWIC effects to spread further along walls. In addition, the base includes two individually controlled rings that act as separate ambient lights.
The cheaper Floor Lamp 3 Lite has a narrower focus with a conventional base. Brightness is a more modest 1,300 lumens and a color range of 2,700K–6,500K.
The new smart lantern
The Govee Lantern Floor Lamp is a new design entirely for the company. While more subtle, the manufacturer claims its 1,400 lumens are sufficient for reading in dim rooms. Boasting a 1,000K–10,000K color palette, the patterns are diverse enough to match the brand’s other smart lights and bulbs.
A softer-than-expected silicone shell sits atop the lamp. Owners can rely on touch controls or experiment with more advanced features and over 100 preset scenes in the first-party app. Available across all the new Govee lights, the AI Lighting Bot 2.0 programs custom effects through prompts. They also offer DaySync, where the time of day inspires warm or cool hues.
Both the Floor Lamp 3 and Lantern Floor Lamp share compatibility with Google Home and Amazon Alexa. Matter support enables access to basic functionality in other apps.
