Osmo FrameTap: DJI releases new innovative device globally with Osmo Mobile 8P

DJI has now lifted the lid on its 'Wonders in Your Palm' launch event that it announced on April 28. As expected, the company has expanded its Osmo Mobile range with a new Pro model. Arriving six months after the Osmo Mobile 8 (curr. $149 on Amazon), the Osmo Mobile 8P has been available for a few weeks in China.
Now, the camera stabiliser has made its way to more markets with ActiveTrack 8.0 technology and DJI's new Osmo FrameTap accessory. Acccording to DJI, the latter allows one to take a selfie or control video recordings remotely. To achieve this, the Osmo FrameTap can be detached and used independently.
Alternatively, the accessory serves as a small viewfinder when connected to the Osmo Mobile 8P by magnets and pogo pins. The new camera stabiliser also includes DJI's Multifunction Module 2, another magnetic accessory that brings eight brightness and colour temperature options to its fill light.
Moreover, the Osmo Mobile 8P contains a 3-axis gimbal with an integrated tripod and a 215 mm extension rod. DJI claims that its new camera stabiliser will last up to 10 hours between charges too, which is unchanged from older models. The Osmo Mobile 8P starts at €159 but costs €189 with its Multifunction Module 2 accessory. Alternatively, DJI sells a Creator Combo with the Mic Mini 2 for €219.
