Vivo has started distributing a new camera-focused update to a few of its recent smartphones. To recap, less than a month has passed since the company offered new camera features to the X200 Ultra, X300 and X300 Pro in China. Nonetheless, it has returned with an 'image upgrade plan' for the X300s and X300 Ultra.
According to company executive Han Bo Xiao, the latest OTA for the pair is a 'massive update', adding that it is the 'second major update' since the X300s and X300 Ultra launched simultaneously on March 30. While the pair share a few new features, the latter has received significantly more improvements than the former.
As the images below show, Vivo has brought new Disney watermarks to both smartphones. Additionally, one can now switch to different image styles after capturing a photo, just like modern iPhones through to the current iPhone 17 Pro Max (curr. $1,394 - refurbished on Amazon).
However, Vivo has introduced a new portrait mode zoom option just for the X300 Ultra. The same goes for manual exposure adjustments within portrait videos and horizon-lock video stabilisation. Also, Vivo boasts that the X300 Ultra now supports Log video recordings and telephoto enhancements using cloud-based LLMs. Vivo has not clarified when the X300 Ultra will receive these features globally.
