Vivo releases new high-end smartphone with massive battery and 144 Hz VRR AMOLED display

Vivo has now released the X300s in its home market. Launching alongside the X300 Ultra, the X300s combines a Dimensity 9500 chipset and a 7,100 mAh battery inside a housing that is barely larger than Samsung's Galaxy S26 Plus (curr. $1,099 on Amazon). Nonetheless, the X300s also supports 90 W wired and 40 W wireless charging.
Additionally, Vivo has installed a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 452 PPI, a 1-144 Hz variable refresh rate and full P3 colour space coverage. This flat display hides an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and a 50 MP front-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture. Moreover, the X300s finds itself with the following rear-facing camera hardware:
- 200 MP primary, f/1.68 aperture, OIS
- 50 MP ultra-wide, f/2.0 aperture
- 50 MP telephoto, f/2.57 aperture, 3x optical zoom, OIS
The X300s starts at CNY 4,999 (~$725) with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Alternatively, the device can be configured up to 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage for CNY 6,999 (~$1,015) in a choice of black, green, purple and white finishes.
Also, Vivo has priced its Photographer Set variant for CNY 7,999 (~$1,155), which adds a teleconverter and associated accessories. The company limits this version to a solitary green colourway, though. Vivo has not confirmed pricing or availability for other markets yet.
