Lava launches new affordable smartphone with 120 Hz display

Lava has unveiled its all-new Bold N2 Pro smartphone, joining the Bold N2 in the brand’s roster. Interestingly, the Pro version is smaller and cheaper than its vanilla sibling. Yes, you heard right. It has a superior processor and slightly smaller display than the base variant. Speaking more precisely, the smartphone is powered by a Unisoc T7250 chipset paired with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage with no room for storage expansion.
The device sports a 6.67-inch LCD display that outputs at 720p+ resolution with a 120 Hz refresh rate. Software-wise, it runs Android 15 out of the box, and the company promises only a single major OS update (Android 16) and two years of security patches until 2028. However, there’s no change in the battery capacity. It retains the same 5,000 mAh battery from the Bold N2 and supports 18 W wired charging. Though, the box only offers a slow 10 W charging brick.
The Pro variant ships with better camera specs than the base variant. It features a 50 MP rear camera paired with an 8 MP snapper at the front. In comparison, the Bold N2 has a 13 MP main camera and a 5 MP selfie camera. Moreover, it has an IP54 water-resistant rating.
Despite being a Pro variant, it is cheaper than the vanilla variant. To be more precise, the Lava Bold N2 Pro starts at INR 7,999 (~$85.20) for the 4 GB + 128 GB model. Right now, it’s available for preorder via Flipkart. Interested buyers can choose from aurora gold and eclipse grey color options.
