Xiaomi releases new budget smartphone in Europe with 120 Hz display

Xiaomi has now released one of its latest budget smartphones in Europe. Spotted last month on regulatory body databases, the Redmi A7 Pro reached Malaysia at the start of March. Now, the same smartphone has landed in Italy pending a full global rollout running HyperOS 3.
Skipping the Redmi A6 series entirely, the Redmi A7 Pro actually replaces the Redmi A5 (curr. $83 on Amazon) in Xiaomi's Redmi A series line-up. With that being said, the Redmi A7 Pro retains its predecessor's Unisoc T7250 chipset. Xiaomi has dropped 3 GB and 6 GB of RAM SKUs in favour of just 4 GB of LPDDR4x RAM plus either 64 GB or 128 GB of UFS 2.2 flash storage.
Additionally, Xiaomi includes a 6,000 mAh battery with 8 MP front-facing and 13 MP rear-facing (1/3.06-inch) cameras. Also, the Redmi A7 Pro finds itself with a 6.9-inch IPS display that outputs at 720p, 120 Hz and 650 nits peak brightness (800 nits HBM). All this hardware is packaged within a 171.6 x 79.5 x 8.2 mm housing that weighs 208 g.
The Redmi A7 Pro starts at €129.90 (~$150) in Italy with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. Alternatively, Xiaomi sells 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage variants for €149.90 (~$175). Both memory configurations can be purchased in Black, Mist Blue and Palm Green finishes.
