IKEA releases new affordable smart GU10 LED bulbs in US

Two IKEA Kajplats GU10 LED bulbs are now available in the US. These products have been available in Europe for some time, and join the brand's wider Kajplats smart bulbs range in this market.
The two bulbs are the IKEA Kajplats LED bulb GU10 632 lumen, smart white spectrum, and the IKEA Kajplats LED bulb GU10 517 lm, smart color and white spectrum. As suggested by their product names, the differences between these two options are the color options and the maximum brightness level. Both have a default color temperature of 2700K and have a life expectancy of 25,000 hours.
IKEA's Kajplats GU10 bulbs offer wirelessly dimmable lighting, which can be adjusted in the IKEA Home smart app when paired to an IKEA Dirigera hub. Here you can also simultaneously control multiple smart lights, or connect the bulb to other smart home devices. Another app-based feature is the ability to set up a schedule or timer, which could be useful when you are away from home. Plus, support for the Matter standard should enable users to integrate these IKEA smart bulbs with other smart home ecosystems.
You can now buy the IKEA Kajplats LED bulb GU10 632 lumen, smart white spectrum, for $7.99 at the brand's online store. The IKEA Kajplats LED bulb GU10 517 lm, smart color and white spectrum, is slightly more expensive at $9.99. Stock availability at IKEA's physical stores is mixed; you can use the 'How to get it' store stock checking tool on the brand's website for the latest information.
