New cheaper IKEA smart bulbs with Matter now available in the US
The IKEA Kajplats smart bulbs are now available in the US. This range of Matter compatible smart home products launched in the EU in December 2025 and was more recently released in the UK.
IKEA's US Kajplats range includes four different smart E26 LED bulbs. These are all globe-shaped bulbs with an opal white glass. Three offer white lighting effects, with a fourth providing both white and colored lighting. Plus, there are differences in the maximum brightness levels, which are either 450 lumens, 1,100 lumens or 1,600 lumens.
There are three IKEA Kajplats smart E12 LED bulbs, two of which are 2-inch globe-shaped bulbs offering up to 800 lumens brightness, one with white and the other with color and white lighting effects. The third bulb is candle-shaped and made from clear glass, providing white light up to 450 lumens brightness.
The final two products are IKEA Kajplats Starter kits. Each includes an E26 smart bulb and the brand's Bilresa Remote control smart/dual button. This accessory can be used to remotely adjust the brightness or color of connected light sources. Each of these IKEA Kajplats products can connect to the IKEA Dirigera hub, with remote controls via the IKEA Home smart app. Plus, support for Matter means they should integrate with many other smart home ecosystems.
You can now buy the IKEA Kajplats smart bulbs and Kajplats Starter kits at the brand's online store in the US. Plus, these products are also available at some of IKEA's physical stores, according to its online stock checker tool. The full price list for this smart lighting range is listed below.
