IKEA smart home hub gets Matter improvement in new update

IKEA is rolling out a new update for the Dirigera Hub. The new software, version 2.934.0, arrives around a month after the last update for this smart hub. This earlier release was said to improve Thread Network performance in some cases and resolve an issue linked to moving Matter-compatible devices between rooms.
The release notes for IKEA Dirigera Hub version 2.934.0, shared on Reddit, list two changes, “so your smart home can run as smooth as ever”. Firstly, the company states that it has continued to enhance the stability of the onboarding process for Matter devices. As a reminder, the company rolled out a range of smart home products with Matter support in late 2025 and early 2026. However, some customers have flagged issues where the devices could not be paired or would disconnect unexpectedly.
The second note in the change log is linked to the IKEA Bilresa remotes. A bug which was preventing users from adjusting the volume of music paused on a connected smart speaker has been resolved. The IKEA Dirigera Hub software version 2.934.0 will be automatically pushed to users via the IKEA Home smart app. It is unclear when the rollout of this update will be complete.
