New IKEA portable Bluetooth speaker arrives early

The IKEA Kallsup Portable Bluetooth speaker has been released. This compact gadget was on show at CES 2026 at the start of the year, when it was initially set for an April 2026 launch. It sits in the brand’s wider Vappeby Bluetooth speaker series.

Designed for use at home or on the go, the IKEA Kallsup speaker can play music, podcasts or audiobooks from a connected smartphone or laptop. You can pair your device using the Bluetooth button on top of the speaker, and the Bluetooth 5.3 connection range is 10 m (~33 ft) without interference. The Bluetooth button also doubles as a power switch, and there is a second play/pause button.

The sound from IKEA’s Kallsup is said to be dictated by the settings on the connected device, with the company recommending you test various settings to optimize the listening experience. Plus, users can connect several units to cover a wider area. The speaker has an integrated rechargeable battery with an estimated run time of nine hours at 50% volume. There are three colors to choose from - Pink, White and Yellow-Green - and the gadget measures 2.75 x 2.75 x 2.88 inches (7.0 x 7.0 x 7.4 cm).

You can now buy the IKEA Kallsup Portable Bluetooth speaker at the brand’s online store in the US for $9.99. According to the online store stock checker, it is also available in many of the company’s physical stores. In European countries like Germany, Portugal and Sweden, it is available for €4.99/SEK 59 online and in some physical stores. It remains to be seen when this gadget will be released in the UK.
