Asus releases new open-ear wireless earbuds globally with RGB lighting

Asus has now released its latest pair of ROG Cetra earbuds across Europe and the US. Showcased earlier this year at CES 2026 in Las Vegas, the ROG Cetra Wireless Open-Ear earbuds contain a few additional features compared to competing open earbuds.
For instance, Asus has included its Aura RGB Lighting with four preset effects and up to 16.8 million colours to choose from. Also, the company offers EQ tuning via its Gear Link app with IPX5 water resistance and a detachable reflective neck strap for use when running.
Moreover, the ROG Cetra Wireless Open-Ear supports 2.4 GHz wireless for low-latency audio and compatibility with systems like the PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5. Please note that the earbuds only support Bluetooth 6.0 on Android and iOS at launch. Asus promises that 2.4 GHz audio support will eventually come to Android via a future update.
Setting that aside, the ROG Cetra Wireless Open-Ear features 14 mm drivers with 16 ohms impedance and 20 Hz-20 kHz frequency response. Asus claims that the earbuds will last up to 16 hours too, but only with RGB lighting, Phantom Bass, Immersion Mode and microphone functionality disabled. Asus sells the ROG Cetra Wireless Open-Ear earbuds at $229.99 in the US, €219 in the Eurozone and £184.99 in the UK.
