Motorola's Moto Buds 2 and Moto Buds 2 Plus arrive with adaptive ANC, LDAC support, and over 40 hours of battery life

Motorola has announced two new pairs of earbuds at MWC 2026. The new earbuds are the moto buds 2 and moto buds 2 plus, arriving as successors to the moto buds and moto buds plus released in 2024. Both earbuds have a closed ear design, protruding stems, and ANC, but there are other differences that set them apart.

The earbuds also have dynamic active noise cancellation (up to 55dB) with a transparency mode. They also have support for LHDC for Hi-Res wireless audio, spatial audio support, and a gaming mode. The spec sheet says there are six microphones in total which with environmental noise cancellation for clear calls.
Motorola says the Buds 2 have Bluetooth 6.0 and can be connected to two devices simultaneously. The battery life for the earbuds is 11 hours, and a total of 48 hours with the charging case. There's also support for fast charging as a 10-minute charge will result in up to 3 hours of playback time.
The Moto Buds 2 also have Moto AI features, which require a compatible Motorola device. Users will be able to set reminders and catch up on notifications and messages without pulling out their phones.
Priced at €79, the Moto Buds 2 are available in Pantone Carbon, Pantone Violet Ice, and Pantone Gray Mist. They will be released in a few weeks and sold in regions across Europe, the Middle East, Latin America, and APAC.
Moto Buds 2 Plus
The Moto Buds 2 Plus are a more premium pair with features such as Sound by Bose technology, wear detection, and Audio Share which allows for connecting two pairs of the earbuds to a single device. They also have customizable touch controls, AI-powered translation, and the ability to transcribe and summarize meetings.
On the technical side, the Moto Buds 2 Plus are equipped with 11mm drivers and feature armatures from Knowles for clarity and precision. They also have support for LHDC for hi-Res wireless audio, spatial audio, and dynamic ANC. And in addition to having six microphones and ENC, there's a feature called CrystalTalk AI (activated in the companion app) which uses advanced AI noise reduction to remove background noise during calls.
Rated IPX4 for water resistance, the Moto Buds 2 Plus have a battery life of 9 hours on a single charge and a total of 40 hours with the charging case. However, you only get 2 hours of use after a 10-minute charge. The earbuds also have Bluetooth 6.0 and Bluetooth Multipoint.
