OnePlus teases Nord Buds 4 Pro with better ANC and LHDC support ahead of launch

It has been nearly two years since the launch of the Nord Buds 3 Pro. Now, OnePlus is ready to follow it up with a successor, and ahead of the launch later this month, it has revealed some key details of the new pair of earbuds.
The new pair of earbuds will debut as the Nord Buds 4 Pro, and based on a promotional page that is live on Amazon India, OnePlus has gone for a design overhaul. The new earbuds will retain the in-ear design of the previous generation, however, the stems now have a uniform thickness. The groove for the touch controls is also longer, taking up about 40% of the length of the stem.
It's not just the earbuds that have been redesigned, the promotional images also show the charging case is different, too. Gone is the oval case, and in its place is a squircle-shaped one, although it still flips open and stores the earbuds vertically. Based on the images, the Nord Buds 4 Pro will be available in black and white.
With respect to features, the Nord Buds 4 Pro will come with 12mm titanium-coated drivers. OnePlus says it has also improved ANC as the earbuds are capable of up to 55dB active noise cancellation, up from the Nord Buds 3 Pro's 49dB.
Another upgrade is support for Hi-Res Audio Wireless and LHDC codec, which is a welcome addition since the Nord Buds 3 Pro (available on Amazon for $74.01) only support AAC and SBC codecs. There's also support for 3D Spatial Audio and Game Sound Spatial Audio. The Nord Buds 4 Pro will have six microphones in total, and will use AI for noise cancellation during calls.
There are still a lot of details we don't know yet, and while OnePlus might reveal them in bits, it could also decide to wait until the launch day on March 19.
