Deal | Set in a dark fantasy universe and featuring roguelike mechanics, this RPG is 90% off on Steam

RPGs offer players many possibilities by immersing them in imaginary worlds while facing terrible creatures. And some of them are currently on sale on Steam, including Iratus: Lord of the Dead, an RPG with roguelike mechanics released on April 23, 2020, developed by Unfrozen and published by Daedalic Entertainment.
In this RPG, currently available for $2.99 instead of $29.99 until March 23, 2026, according to SteamDB, you take on the role of the necromancer Iratus in a dark fantasy universe. Freed after several millennia, you want to reach the world of mortals to satisfy your thirst for revenge. In other words, you're on the side of evil, and you must expand your underground lair to achieve your goal.

Craft up to 19 different types of minions from the bodies of your enemies. Each minion has six unique skills, and four talent trees are available, allowing you to vary your gameplay, whether with magic, alchemy, rage, or destruction. To defeat your enemies in turn-based combat, you must know their strengths and weaknesses. By embodying Iratus, you can destroy them with force, magic, or even manipulation. However, you must protect your troops, because servants who fall in battle disappear forever.
Inspired by Darkest Dungeon, ratings on Steam show that players enjoyed this game. Indeed, the reviews speak for themselves with 85% positive reviews out of more than 8,000 reviews, and on Metacritic, it has a Metascore of 78 and a user score of 7.5. Several aspects of the game are worth mentioning, such as its dark fantasy universe and its 2D graphics. Its gameplay is easy to understand, and each difficulty level must be completed before you can move on to the next.
However, some players criticize its repetitive gameplay, and numerous bugs have been reported, particularly with save files. Furthermore, although it is back at its lowest price, this is not unusual. According to SteamDB, there have been numerous similar discounts over the past two years, and this price was first reached on August 24, 2024.
