OnePlus tipped to soon launch 12-inch tablet with large battery and powerful SoC

OnePlus is reportedly working on a new 12-inch tablet, and it's tipped to launch soon. As reported by Yogesh Brar, a notable tipster, the company is testing the device with a capable SoC.
Specifically, Yogesh reports that the tablet will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. This non-Elite version sits right in the middle of the last-gen Snapdragon 8 Elite and the current-gen Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. This slightly lower-end SoC, when compared to the Elite version, could help keep the price of the pad down a little.
The report also adds that OnePlus will pack the tablet with a large battery, with the capacity exceeding the 12,000 mAh mark. For reference, the Pad 3 with the Snapdragon 8 Elite has a 12,140 mAh battery, but it's worth noting that it features a 13.2-inch display.
So, it would be an improvement if OnePlus could keep the battery capacity the same as the predecessor while making the tablet more compact. The report also mentions a probable launch timeline. As Yogesh mentions, it's set for a June 2026 debut, which isn't far from now.
There's no official word from OnePlus about the tablet yet, but the company is getting ready to fully unveil a new compact phone, the OnePlus 15T. It's possible that the brand will share teasers during the launch event of this Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 phone.
