Leak reveals more official renders of the Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2

Lenovo has been churning out Android tablets lately such as the ThinkTab X11, the Legion Tab Gen 5, and its Chinese equivalent, the Legion Y700 Gen 5. However, a few weeks ago, a successor to a tablet released in June 2024 surfaced online, and while we expected it to be officially announced at MWC 2026, that didn't happen. Now, a leak has provided more images of the said tablet which is called the Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2.
The leaked images of the Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2 come from Evan Blass, and they show the tablet from new angles and also some additional details. For starters, Evan Blass refers to the device as the Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2, which means this is indeed its final name.
Also, one of the images shows that the specially-designed carrying case, which appeared in green in the first set of images, will be available in the same light gray/silver color of the tablet. In addition, unlike the green case which has a black strap with red tips, this version has a green strap with copper tips.
The specs and release date of the Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2 are still unknown, however, based on its predecessor, we can take a guess at some of the features it will bring.
For example, the tablet should be able to double as a Bluetooth speaker for other devices as this is a feature that is available on the 2024 Lenovo Tab Plus (currently available on Amazon.de for €215). The Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2 is also expected to support 24-bit, 96kHz audio like its predecessor, although the removal of the audio jack is a bummer.
Evan Blass hasn't revealed when the Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2 will be released, but based on the flood of new images, there's a chance an official announcement isn't far off.
