The Xiaomi Redmi Pad 2 was launched last year as a budget-friendly tablet with an 11-inch display. A new database listing now suggests Xiaomi may be preparing another version of the tablet with a smaller screen size.

The Xiaomi Redmi Pad series is expected to expand its lineup with a new tablet. The Redmi Pad 2 was released in June 2025 with an 11-inch screen. A new version of the Redmi Pad 2 has now surfaced on the GSMA's database.

The certification reveals three model numbers: 2604ERP4DG, 2604ERP4DC, and 2604ERP4DI. The suffix suggests these model numbers belong to the global, China, and India versions, respectively. The certification does not reveal any other specifications except that the tablet will sport a 9.7-inch display.

According to XiaomiTime, the tablet will launch in both LTE and Wi-Fi-only variants. Additionally, the latter variant could be rebranded as the Poco C Pad for certain markets.

In our review of the 11-inch version of the Redmi Pad 2, we found it to be a solid tablet with its quad-speaker setup and a high-contrast LCD. The Redmi Pad 2 was powered by the MediaTek Helio G100 Ultra chipset based on a 6nm process. It featured a single 8MP camera on the rear and a 5MP selfie camera.

The tablet packed a 9,000mAh battery with 18W wired charging support (20K Ugreen powerbank curr. $29.98 on Amazon). The Redmi Pad 2 was priced at €199 in the Eurozone. Separately, Xiaomi has recently released its flagship Pad 8 series in the global market.
