Xiaomi releases new high-end Android tablet globally

Xiaomi has now released the Pad 8 Pro internationally. Available in China since September 2025, the Pad 8 Pro challenges high-end tablets like the Oppo Pad 4 Pro, Galaxy Tab S11 and OnePlus Pad 3 (curr. $628 - used on Amazon) thanks to its Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. By extension, the Pad 8 Pro will be significantly more powerful than the Pad 8 that also launched today.
Xiaomi also equips the Pad 8 Pro with a 9,200 mAh battery to match the Pad 8. However, the former can charge its battery at 67 W compared to 45 W for the latter. Additionally, the Pad 8 Pro features superior cameras and is available in higher memory capacities. Xiaomi includes the same 11.2-inch, 144 Hz, 800 nit and 3.2K display across both tablets, though.
The Pad 8 Pro starts with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage in the Eurozone. Alternatively, the tablet can be configured with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. Typically, the pair will retail for €599 (~$705) and €699 (~$825), respectively. Until March 14, Xiaomi is offering the 256 GB variant for €519 (~$613) for an €80 saving. By contrast, the 512 GB variant comes with complimentary Focus Pen Pro and keyboard accessories without any launch discounts.
