New Lenovo tablet rears its head with strange design

Lenovo is preparing to release several new tablets in China soon. To recap, the company has confirmed that the Legion Y700 Gen 5 is coming as a fresh alternative to the iPad mini (curr. $469 on Amazon). Additionally, it has shared initial details about two new Xiaxoin tablets.
Now, iF Design has revealed the Tab Plus Gen 2 ahead of Lenovo making an official announcement. According to iF Design, Lenovo has equipped the Tab Plus Gen 2 with a 12.1-inch display that outputs at a 2.5K resolution. Apparently, the thick circular protrusion on the tablet's rear serves multiple purposes, too.
Primarily, the circular area contains a 'JBL 9-unit PRO' speaker system. Also, these speakers include passive radiators to maximise bass response. Moreover, the tablet features a built-in stand that can be used in portrait or landscape modes. The Tab Plus Gen 2 also appears to support an active stylus.
As Liliputing notes, 'Tab Plus Gen 2' may not be the device's final name. Although speculative, the ThinkPad Rollable XD originally appeared on iF Design as the MaxArt. Setting aside, iF Design's timing implies that Lenovo may showcase the Tab Plus Gen 2 next week during MWC 2026 in Barcelona.
