MagicPad 4: New high-end Android tablet surpasses Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra in early benchmarks

Earlier today, Honor confimred numerous specifications for its next high-end Android tablet. At the same time, the company revealed when it would be releasing the MagicPad 4 globally. Now, performance expectations have emerged thanks to over a dozen Geekbench listings.
As always, Geekbench provides a model number rather than a retail name. However, Honor has already confirmed that the MagicPad 4 is associated with the model number 'YLE-W09'. Thus, we suspect the results reproduced below have been achieved by reviewers ahead of the tablet's official release on March 2.
In short, CPU performance from Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset is roughly on par with the Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered devices we have reviewed to date. Consequently, the MagicPad 4 outperforms Samsung's Galaxy Tab S11 and Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra (curr. $994 on Amazon) in single and multi-core benchmarks while falling short of Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5-powered peers.
The performance achieved with the built-in Adreno 829 GPU falls short of expectations, though. Albeit a limited dataset for now, all OpenCL and Vulkan scores achieved so far are on the lower end of what we have come to anticipate from high-end chipsets like the Dimensity 9400+, Snapdragon 8 Elite or the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Please see our prior article for more details about the MagicPad 4.
