Honor has now launched its MagicPad 4 after teasing the tablet towards the end of last month. Arriving a day after the Xiaomi Pad 8 and Pad 8 Pro, the MagicPad 4 is slightly larger than both tablets thanks to its 12.3-inch display. Not only that, but the MagicPad 4 features a newer chipset than Xiaomi's latest high-end Android tablets.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 powering the MagicPad 4 should perform about as well as the Snapdragon 8 Elite inside the Pad 8 Pro, though. By extension, this should see Honor's tablet outperforming both the Galaxy Tab S11 and Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra too (curr. $995 on Amazon). Incidentally, Samsung is not expected to launch the Galaxy Tab S12 Plus or Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra until much later this year. Meanwhile, Honor includes a 165 Hz OLED display that resolves at 3,000 x 1,920 pixels with a 290 PPI, 2,400 nits peak brightness and 5,280 Hz PWM dimming.
On top of that, the MagicPad 4 finds itself with eight speakers, Bluetooth 6.0 and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity, and a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port within a 450 g housing that measures 273.4 x 178.8 x 4.8 mm. Also, the tablet boasts a 10,100 mAh battery with 66 W wired charging. Honor includes 9 MP front-facing and 13 MP rear-facing cameras, too.
The MagicPad 4 starts at £499.99 in the UK and €599 in in the Eurozone with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Alternatively, the device can be configured with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage for £599.99 and €799.99. Pre-orders will open on March 1.
