Official: Honor confirms disappointing global availability for new ultra-premium foldable

Honor and Xiaomi have been the first out of the gate when it comes to revealing MWC 2026-bound smartphones, tablets and other devices. Yesterday, Xiaomi launched the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Ultra and Leica Leitzphone, as well as two new tablets for international audiences. Today, Honor has presented the Magic V6 and MagicPad 4, launch details for which we have covered separately.
Surprisingly, Honor has decided to present its new foldable globally before introducing it in China. However, the device's showcase is not indicative of when the Magic V6 will be available. For context, Xiaomi is already selling the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Ultra and Leica Leitzphone globally to rival Samsung's recent Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus and Galaxy S26 Ultra (curr. $1,299 on Amazon).
The Galaxy Z Fold8, Pixel 11 Pro Fold and iPhone Fold are not expected to launch until the summer or early autumn. Hence, it seemed that Honor was preparing to fill this gap in the market with the Magic V6 before Oppo brings the Find N6 to market later this month. Honor has confirmed that this will be the case for the Magic V6 in China, where it will go on sale this month, too.
Sadly, Honor has also indicated that the Magic V6 will not reach the rest of the world until the second half of the year. In short, Honor has no plans to release the Magic V6 globally until July despite presenting it today in Barcelona. As a result, global pricing remains unknown at this stage, too. Please see the table below and our launch article for technical details about the Magic V6 and how it differs from last year's Magic V5.
