Lenovo has showcased a couple of concept products at MWC 2026, and the ThinkBook Modular AI PC is one of them. It doesn't feature top-of-the-line specs, but that's not the main point of the product. The main highlight is its modularity.
As Lenovo highlights, the modular design aims to offer a versatile laptop to users with various needs. The foundation is a system with a 14-inch display that can be paired with various attachments. One of those attachments is a secondary screen, allowing it to convert into a dual-display laptop similar to the Yoga Book 9i. The combined screen real estate can scale up to 19 inches in such a setup.
When not in use, the detachable screen can be used as a secondary side screen, with the keyboard attachment and a display module installed on the modular PC. Speaking of which, the keyboard modular element has switchable modules, which, for example, allow users to switch between different I/O ports as required.
Regarding the specs, the Intel Core Ultra 7 255H powers the internals. This Arrow Lake processor is paired with 32GB of RAM and a 1TB PCIe SSD. Both the base of the display and the secondary screen have a 14-inch OLED panel with 3840x2400 pixels resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and a brightness rating of 500 nits.
There's a 33Wh battery, and the modular laptop has a Harman Kardon 2+2 speaker setup with Dolby Atmos. While Lenovo is known to bring concept products to the consumer market, there's no official word on whether the ThinkBook Modular AI PC will be available to purchase anytime soon.
