Luckfox 16-inch 4K 120Hz portable touch monitor offers 100% sRGB coverage

The segment of portable monitors continues to grow, with many models available on Amazon at relatively affordable prices, typically between $100 and $150. These screens can be useful for productivity on business trips or while traveling. But portable monitors that combine a high resolution with a fast refresh rate remain uncommon in the mid-range segment. Luckfox wants to address this gap with its new 16" 4K Touch Monitor.
The 16-inch display features a 3840 × 2400 (WQUXGA) IPS panel with 350 nits brightness and a 1200:1 contrast ratio. It uses optical bonding technology with 6H-hardness toughened glass and a matte finish to minimize ambient reflections. The 16:10 aspect ratio provides more vertical workspace than the standard 16:9 format. It also supports a 120Hz refresh rate, which is an upgrade over the common 60Hz panels found in many portable monitors, such as the Auzai ME16Z01 or the Arzopa A1M; response times aren't disclosed, though.

As for connectivity, the product integrates two USB Type-C ports and a Mini HDMI input. Both USB-C ports support audio, video, and power delivery, meaning that only a single USB-C cable is required when connected to a compatible smartphone, tablet or laptop. (Peak brightness may be limited with smartphones and tablets.) In addition, the display is compatible with development boards such as the Raspberry Pi 5 and Nvidia Jetson Nano, as well as gaming consoles, including Xbox and PlayStation systems.
For navigation, the monitor features a menu button, and a mode switch button, along with a power indicator LED and a 3.5 mm audio jack. It also includes built-in speakers, which are said to deliver a wider sound range and higher volume than a typical portable display.
The screen is approximately 10mm thick and weighs approximately 1.35 kg (2.97 lbs), which is a little heavy for a portable display, but it ships with a detachable case that also works as a stand with two adjustable viewing angles. The monitor does not feature a built-in battery, so it will draw power directly from the connected host device or require a dedicated external power supply. There is a 75mm VESA mount as a nice little touch.
The Luckfox 16-inch 4K Portable Touch Monitor is currently listed for $319.99 on the Luckfox official store, as well as on AliExpress and Amazon.com. It must be noted that 2400p and 120Hz IPS panels like the NE160QAM-NZ1 can be had for around 100 dollars brand-new, meaning this portable monitor is a little overpriced.
