Affordable 28.2-inch 4k monitor arrives with 3:2 IPS panel sporting 95% DCI-P3 coverage

We have covered monitors from JapanNext earlier, which happens to be a company that primarily serves Japan and Europe. The company has now added yet another product to its lineup, featuring a peculiar aspect ratio for specific audiences.
The JapanNext JN-282IPS4KP-HSP follows in the footstep of its similarly sized predecessor, but has decided to let go of a crucial feature - 90 W USB-C charging. Apart from this, the 28.2-inch 3:2 monitor has remained mostly the same, boasting a resolution of 3840 x 2560. A pair of 3W speakers are also present.
The monitor utilizes an IPS panel, which should help with viewing angles. Apart from 178° viewing angles, the company also claims 100% coverage of the sRGB color gamut, 95% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut, and a peak brightness of 340 nits. High-refresh rate capabilities are not present, which is to be expected from a monitor intended for office use.
Of course, JapanNext's claims can only be verified once independent reviewers get their hands on the product.
The unique aspect ratio allows for a lot of vertical real estate, enabling users to cruise through spreadsheets and documents quickly. As evident from the above image, a 28.2-inch 3:2 display is essentially a elongated 27-inch 16:9 display.
Input is handled by dual DisplayPort 1.4 and dual HDMI 2.0 ports. Tilt, height, swivel, and 90° pivot adjustments are possible.
The monitor is already available for purchase in Japan, priced at 40,980 Yen or roughly $262. A US launch is unlikely, but alternatives with 3:2 aspect ratio do exist, such as the BenQ RD280U, currently available for $570 on Amazon.
