AOC has officially launched a blazing-fast new gaming monitor. Spanning 27-inches with a 2.5K resolution, the new monitor also outputs at 540 Hz or 1,000 Hz as needed. While AOC tends to release its gaming monitors globally, it has only introduced the Agon Pro AGP277QK in China for now.

AOC has now officially launched its Agon Pro AGP277QK gaming monitor. For context, the Agon Pro AGP277QK arrives hot on the heels of the Philips Evnia 27M2N5500XD. While both monitors were showcased at the end of last year, Phillips only added the Evnia 27M2N5500XD to its website in late January.

Thus, Agon Pro AGP277QK's official debut marks the second ultra-high-refresh monitor to land in almost as many weeks. As expected, the Agon Pro AGP277QK features a 27-inch IPS panel with a flat finish. Also, the new monitor outputs at 2,560 x 1,440 pixels (2.5K/1440p) with a 540 Hz refresh rate. In that sense, the Agon Pro AGP277QK challenges recent monitors like the LG UltraGear OLED 27GX790B (curr. $999 on Amazon).

However, the Agon Pro AGP277QK can push its refresh rate to 1,000 Hz rather than 720 Hz like the UltraGear OLED 27GX790B. To do so, AOC's new monitor must drop its refresh rate to 720p. Other panel specifications include 1 ms GtG response times, VRR support, a 2,000:1 contrast ratio, 95% DCI-P3 colour space coverage and 350 nits SDR brightness that rises to 500 nits when HDR mode is enabled.

Moreover, AOC packs plenty of features within its G-Menu software, like Dynamic Crosshair and Sniper Scope. On top of that, the Agon Pro AGP277QK finds itself with DisplayPort 2.1 (UHBR 20), HDMI 2.1 and USB 3.2 Type-A ports, as well as a 3.5 mm jack and 5 W stereo speakers. AOC has not revealed pricing or availability yet. While the Agon Pro AGP277QK has only launched in China so far, we would expect AOC to offer the new monitor globally later this year too.
