Q27G4ZD: AOC releases new 280 Hz OLED gaming monitor with four-port USB hub

AOC has confirmed pricing and availability for a new OLED gaming monitor. After presenting the Q27G4ZDP/WS in China last month, the company has now launched a similar black variant globally. Falling under 'Gaming' brand, the Q27G4ZD does not leverage a 4th Gen WOLED like the Q27G4ZDP/WS.
Instead, AOC has reverted Gen 3 QD-OLED panel technology produced by Samsung Display. As a result, the AOC Gaming Q27G4ZD shares plenty of features with other 27-inch OLED gaming monitors. For instance, the monitor combines a 1440p resolution with a 280 Hz refresh rate. Also, AOC claims that its monitor delivers up to 1,000 nits peak brightness in HDR mode but only across 3% of its panel at any one time.
Moreover, the AOC Gaming Q27G4ZD boasts 0.03 ms GtG response times with Adaptive-Sync and Nvidia G-Sync technologies on hand to minimise image tearing when gaming. On top of that, AOC includes an ergonomic stand, a four-port USB hub, DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.1 connectivity and VESA 100 x 100 mounts for using third-party stands.
AOC reports that the AOC Gaming Q27G4ZD will be available later this month in the UK for £419.99, including 20% VAT. Currently, the monitor can be purchased at this price from Box and Laptops Direct. Meanwhile, the AOC Gaming Q27G4ZD has dropped to $419.99 in the US.
