LG has finally opened preorders for its UltraGear evo 52G930B in the US. Featuring a massive 52-inch screen, the monitor targets both productivity users and gamers with a 5K2K resolution and a fast 240Hz refresh rate but needs a capable GPU to take full advantage of its specs.

The LG UltraGear 52G930B-B made its debut at CES 2026 as part of LG's 2026 monitor lineup, offering a larger option to the 45-inch options already available. Specifically, this model features a gigantic 52-inch curved screen and aims to cover both gamers and productivity pros in one single display, thanks to its higher 5K2K resolution and 240Hz refresh rate.

52-inch 5K2K VA ultrawide with a 21:9 layout

The UltraGear 52G930B-B is one of the 50+ inch ultrawide monitors announced at CES 2026, alongside the Dell U5226KW Thunderbolt Hub Monitor. Both feature a 52-inch curved display, but LG pairs its model with a 5120 × 2160 resolution. While not as sharp as the Dell's 6K (6144 × 2560) panel, it should be easier to drive without requiring an extremely powerful GPU.

That said, the UltraGear 52G930B-B also features a 21:9 aspect ratio, giving it more vertical screen space than 32:9 49-inch ultrawides. It is built around a 1000R-curved VA panel with a 4000:1 contrast ratio and 95% coverage of the DCI-P3 color coverage. Moreover, LG rates brightness at 320 nits minimum and 400 nits typical, though with DisplayHDR 600 support, it should reach up to 600 nits when displaying HDR content. Productivity features include a built-in KVM switch, screen-splitting software, and a USB-C port with 90W Power Delivery.

Big-screen gaming with 240Hz and DisplayPort 2.1

Aside from productivity, the UltraGear 52G930B-B also excels for gaming. It has a faster 240 Hz refresh rate paired with FreeSync Premium VRR and a 1 ms (GtG) response time. Needless to say, gamers will need a capable GPU to run the monitor at its full resolution and refresh rate. Connectivity include DisplayPort 2.1 (UHBR 13.5) and HDMI 2.1 ports as well as other extra features like built-in speakers and an ergonomic stand with height and swivel adjustments.

The LG UltraGear 52G930B-B is now available to preorder on the LG website for $1,999.99, with a $200 LG credit included for early buyers. Preorders are expected to begin shipping on March 23. Alternatives include the Dell U5226KW Thunderbolt Hub Monitor for those who want a sharper ultrawide or wider viewing angles thanks to its IPS panel. However, the Dell is priced higher at $2,899.99. LG also announced a new 39-inch 5K ultrawide, but that model is not yet available.
