Dell's latest monitor is the world's first 6K 52" monitor and is designed to negate the need for a multi-monitor setup. Decked out with an array of ports and support for up to 4 computers simultaneously, the Dell UltraSharp 52 Thunderbolt Monitor boasts a picture-in-picture mode and screen partitioning as distinguishing features.

Dell has announced a new monitor that it claims is the world's first 52-inch 6K monitor with IPS Black panel technology. The 51.5-inch curved screen monitor also doubles as a hub, hence its name, Dell UltraSharp 52 Thunderbolt Hub Monitor.

Dell says its target market includes financial traders, data scientists, engineers, and executives who manage multiple applications simultaneously, as it eliminates the need for a multiple monitor setup. Users will be able to connect a maximum of four PCs simultaneously and then partition the screen (up to 2 screen partitions). It also has built-in KVM (keyboard, video, and mouse) features that allow users to use one keyboard and mouse to control all connected computers.

The Dell UltraSharp 52 Thunderbolt Hub monitor has a 6144 × 2560 resolution, a 21:9 aspect ratio, a 2000:1 contrast ratio, a 120Hz variable refresh rate, and a 4200R curvature. Dell says the UltraSharp 52 Thunderbolt Hub Monitor is the first monitor to achieve the highest tier of TUV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification, as it can reduce harmful blue light emissions to less than 20% without sacrificing color accuracy. In addition, the display, which has anti-glare coating, supports tilting, slanting, and swiveling. Users can also adjust the height of the monitor by up to 90 mm.

The port selection includes the power port, security lock slot, 2x HDMI 2.1 ports, 2x DisplayPort 1.4 ports, 1x Thunderbolt 4 port with support for Power Delivery up to 140W, 3x USB-C 10Gbps upstream ports (data only), 4x 10Gbps USB-A ports, and 1x RJ45 Ethernet port.

The monitor also features a quick-access hub in front that includes two USB-C ports and a single USB-A port, all of which support 10Gbps USB ports for fast data transfer. The USB-C ports also support 27 W charging. When not in use, the quick-access ports can be tucked away. Other features of the monitor are built-in speakers, an ambient light sensor, and an optional mount with cable management.
