HP has joined the likes of Asus and MSI in taking advantage of Samsung Display's latest QD-OLED technology. Specifically, the HyperX Omen 34-inch OLED 360 Hz Gaming Monitor leverages a Gen 5 QD-OLED panel that measures 34-inches diagonally. In short, HP's new gaming monitor outputs at the same WQHD (3,440 x 1,440) resolution as past 34-inch QD-OLED monitors like the Alienware AW3425DW (curr. $799 on Amazon) with an identical 21:9 aspect ratio and an 1800R curvature.
However, the HyperX Omen 34-inch surpasses older equivalents with a 360 Hz refresh rate. As the specification sheet below highlights, the new monitor combines its 1440p resolution and 360 Hz refresh rate with 0.03 ms GtG response times plus AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and Nvidia G-Sync technologies to mitigate image tearing. According to HP, the panel is VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certified, too. As a result, the HyperX Omen 34-inch should reach 500 nits and at least 95% DCI-P3 colour space coverage, with HP quoting 99% and 96% of the AdobeRGB colour space.
Also, the HyperX Omen 34-inch finds itself with plenty of ports. All positioned on its rear, these ports include a 100 W-capable Type-C connection that supports DisplayPort Alt Mode too. Moreover, HP has integrated a KVM switch with a dedicated button on the monitor's underside. Unfortunately, HP has not communicated pricing or availability for its new 34-inch gaming monitor yet. Nonetheless, it seems that a global release is on the cards, given the monitor's appearance during CES 2026 in Las Vegas.
